Students will be grouped not only by age but also by levels. which reflect progress in dance rather than in grade level in school. The placement and advancement will be at the discretion of he Director and Teaching Staff. Students are evaluated throughout the year. Class placement is tentative and subject to change during September. This allows the instructor time to assess the student's ability and potential.

       Registration

  • Completion of the Registration Form
  • Payment of the Registration Form
  • Payment of the dance tuition
  • Competition fee for students in Competition Groups
  • Costume Deposit

Class enrollment is limited and is filled on a first come basis. As in any private school, class space is reserved for each student. The Noretta Dunworth School of Dance personally places each and every student to ensure the appropriateness and progress of the class.  

        Tuition

All class fees are paid in advance using one of the options listed:

  • Yearly payment receives a 5% discount payable at registration, last week of August
  • Nine payment plan starting the last week of August and payable through May

Dance tuition is automatically due at the end of each month for the following month. A late charge of $5 per week will be added to your account if unpaid.

       Dress Code

Baby Ballet – Leotard -color of choice, ballet pink tights

Tights: Body Wrappers brand, total stretch, mesh, back seam tights C-30, SZ 1-3; C-45, SZ 4-14 Shoes: pink ballet slippers

Combination Classes - Leotard color of choice, ballet pink tights
Pink Tights: Body Wrappers brand, total stretch, mesh, back seam tights, C-45 sizes 4-14
Suntan Tights (for recital): Capezio brand tights for recital tap and jazz, Style 1861 light suntan- ultra soft Shoes: pink ballet slippers, tan jazz shoes, Bloch neo-flex, tan tap shoes (Bloch brand “Tap On”.)

All Ballet Classes - Any style black leotard, Pink Tights, pink ballet shoes
Tights: Body Wrappers, total stretch, mesh, back seam tights
Shoes: Pink Ballet Slippers, if applicable, pink pointe shoes, ribbons sewn on securely
**Hair must be off face in a bun, neatly.
**No warm ups, T-shirts, sweats or jazz pants
This will be strictly enforced - No tights and leotard and hair not in a bun, dancers will be asked to sit and watch class.

Cecchetti – Uniform black leotard, ballet pink tights

Tights: Ballet Pink tights – Body Wrappers, C-45 OR A-45, total stretch, mesh, back seam
Shoes: pink ballet slippers
**Hair in bun, NO bangs, No warm-ups, No T-shirts, No sweats.
**This will be strictly enforced - No pink tights and uniform black leotard, hair in bun, dancers will be asked to sit and watch class.
Cecchetti Ballet Note: You cannot be absent more than twice for the semester or you will be asked not to come back until the following year.

Pointe –
Leotard and tights same as ballet classes, pink pointe shoes, hair fastened back, off face, in a bun.
If you are advanced enough for a pointe class, you must wear your pointe shoes every lesson (ballet slippers cannot be worn in pointe class).

Tap -

Dance clothes (any color or style)
Tights: Capezio brand Style 1861, light suntan color, ultra soft Shoes: Bloch Brand, ”Tap On” or black oxford tap shoes

Jazz –

Dance clothes (any color or style)
Tights: Capezio brand style 1861, light suntan color, ultra soft Shoes: Bloch brand ‘neo-flex’ tan jazz shoes

Gymnastics - Dance clothes, gymnastic shoes or bare feet
Boys gymnastics - T-shirt, shorts, socks (no cut-offs or zipper shorts)
Boys dance - T-shirt or beater solid color, sweat pants cut off, no jeans or regular clothes
Hip Hop - appropriate attire, clean athletic shoes that have not been worn outside
Pom – shorts and t-shirt, or dance clothes and clean athletic shoes that have not been worn outside
