LAUREN ROEBUCK

Lauren Roebuck, originally from Southfield, Michigan, is currently pursuing a BA in psychology as well as a BFA in dance at the University of Michigan where she trains from Shannon Gillen, Robin Wilson, Judy Rice, and many more. Lauren recognizes the significance of embracing diversity as a dancer, therefore she has extensive training in many styles. She has trained at many summer intensives including Complexions Detroit, A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham, Ailey, and Millennium LA. She is an instructor at Noretta Dunworth School of Dance and has guest taught all over the Midwest area. Appointed by her peers, she held the position of co-artistic director for a hip hop organization called Dance 2xs Michigan. While under her leadership, the team received a golden ticket to World of Dance qualifying them to compete worldwide at the World of Dance finals in Los Angeles, California. During her time in Ann Arbor, she participated in many professionally produced projects, one being the University of Michigan Museum of Art campaign, “Claim Your Space”. Her time at Michigan has deepened her devotion to dancing, collaborating, performing, and choreographing which are things she hopes to continue to do in the future.
