LINDSAY MCGARRY
Lindsay McGarry is a native of Downriver, Michigan and a former student of Noretta Dunworth School of Dance. She graduated from Point Park University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with a concentration in Jazz. There, she studied multiple genres of dance including: Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Folk and Contemporary. She has previously performed aboard numerous Holland America Line cruise ships from 2006-2012 also taking on the role of Dance Captain/Company Manager. She has performed in Walt Disney World, Orlando’s equity shows: Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage and Dream Along with Mickey. Lindsay has worked/performed under the guidance of various choreographers/teachers such as Margo Sappington, Harrison McEldowney, Jeannie Hill, Douglas Bentz, Judith Leifer-Bentz, Ron Tassone, Mark Goodman and many more. She has performed in Neil Goldberg’s, Christmas Dreams, worked for Powerful Image Productions at Casino Windsor, and still sometimes jumps in as a magician’s assistant for Aaron Radatz. At the age of 13, Lindsay was “Clara” in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Detroit, Mi at the Fox Theater. She is a certified teacher/member of Cecchetti Council of America as well as certified to teach Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). She met her husband onboard one of her cruise ship contracts and they later moved back to Woodhaven, Michigan where they have two beautiful girls. Lindsay has been sharing her love of dance by teaching and choreographing at many local studios over the past 10 years and is looking forward to joining NDSD.
